A woman in Brookline fought off two attackers who tried to take her scooter Monday night.

The Meredith Neighborhood Associations 20th annual Independence Day parade for kids of all ages will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. The parade route begins at 46th Street and Bel-Aire Road and goes south on 46th Street to Twana Drive and into Westchester Park at 50th Street.
