My confidence in my own ability to handle crisis and intense situations has always been pretty high. I fancy myself to be the person who holds it together, who reins others in, who can remain helpful even when the hammer is coming down. So even though there was a lot going on over the past week, imagine my surprise as my vision started going black, stars filled my head, and an undeniable knowledge that I was about to pass out at a very inopportune time came crashing in.
