I was walking past a medical supply store, and they had an antique wheelchair in the window just for show. The older ones reminded me of a woven rocking chair on wheels. They didn’t have performance tires for an active lifestyle, nor would you sit securely if you needed a strap. I am sure at the end of the 19th century, they didn’t figure you would do anything but exist should you need to use one.
